FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – April 26, 2021 –  Concordia Academy’s (Roseville) Aidan Kingsbury has been named a Scholar-Athlete by the Minnesota Chapter of the National Football Foundation.

This annual award honors Minnesota high school football players for their outstanding athletic, academic and community service accomplishments. Kingsbury, a native of Shoreview, Minnesota, is one of eight scholar-athletes who will be recognized during an upcoming television broadcast.

“Aidan has a long list of outstanding athletic, academic and community accomplishments,” said Todd Fultz, President of the Minnesota Chapter of the National Football Foundation. “He makes a difference on and off the field and is one of Minnesota football’s best. We are very excited to honor him.”

Aidan Kingsbury is one of the best offensive linemen in the Twin Cities. The 6-foot-7, 305-pound tackle played multiple positions for Concordia Academy’s program. Kingsbury’s versatility and leadership made a positive impact on all of his teammates and coaches. No matter what, he was always ready to learn a new position or role on the football field.

“Aidan is a captain of the football team and helps lead our student activities group that puts on all major events,” said Concordia Academy head coach Robert Wolf. “Aidan is a gifted student athlete with a servant’s heart and great work ethic that will take him far in life.”

In the classroom, Kingsbury posted a 4.33 GPA and was on the school’s honor roll every year. He also actively participated in community activities, including as a food pantry and church volunteer. Additionally, Kingsbury was a math tutor for young students in his school. He played a major role in shaping the lives of young people at Concordia Academy.

Minnesota Football Honors is hosting a show to honor this year’s high school, college and Minnesota Vikings award winners. Special guests will be featured, including Vikings players. An official broadcast date will be announced soon on www.minnesotafootballhonors.com.
