MN CHAPTER OF THE NATIONAL FOOTBALL FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES 2015 MINNESOTA FOOTBALL HONORS

MINNEAPOLIS, MN - March 4, 2015 - The Minnesota Chapter of the National Football Foundation is pleased to announce the 8th Annual Minnesota Football Honors on Sunday, May 3, 2015 at the Hilton Minneapolis. College and professional football Hall of Fame inductees are scheduled to attend the premier Minnesota football awards event, and WCCO-TV news personality Frank Vascellaro will return for his eighth year as Master of Ceremonies. The event is open to the public, and will be presented by the Minnesota Vikings.

“The Vikings are honored to partner with The National Football Foundation for Minnesota Football Honors,” said Vikings General Manager Rick Spielman. “We look forward to the event that honors the best in football at all levels in Minnesota and recognizes leadership off the field.”

The Minnesota Football Honors recognizes legendary Minnesota football icons and college hall of famers, as well as high school and college scholar athletes. The awards to be presented will include:

  • Murray Warmath Legendary Team Award

  • Bud Grant Distinguished Minnesotan Award

  • Courage Award

  • John Gagliardi Legacy Award

  • Fred Zamberletti Award

  • Sid Hartman Media Award

  • Bobby Bell College Impact Player

  • Bob Stein College Scholar Athlete

  • Stacy Robinson Leadership Award

  • Outstanding Cheerleader

  • High School Scholar Athletes
